Re: “Judge Dan Kemp to challenge Courtney Goodson for chief justice

Brantley, you've put Goodson under a microscope for her husband's wealth and the perceived control/influence that she currently has of the court. As related to the same-sex marriage case, what ultimately was best for the people of Arkansas and our country ultimately prevailed. I just hope you'll examine her opposition with the same degree of scrutiny. I'd hate for you to overlook the potential ramifications of his decisions, given his obvious conservative values, in your pursuit to crucify her.

Re: “New billboard in Harrison put up underneath controversial "Anti-White" sign

Before passing judgment on what the residents of Harrison are "not doing," I encourage you to google Task Force on Race Relations in Harrison, AR. Or, see the link above (thank you, Silverback66) to their page on Facebook. These long-time residents and hard fighting community activists have developed a yard sign campaign, billboards, and events to try to change the image of Harrison. They had an event today, as a matter of fact, with the focus on "burying hate". However, the media is particularly partial to the sensationalized story (surprised, anyone?), and they neglect to cover such events (or if they do, they always have to give attention to the 'other side' interviewing Mr. Robb or one of his cronies).

Re: “Harrison fights racist reputation

Thank you for writing and printing an article that highlights the efforts of those people who live in Harrison who are working toward improving race relations. In the words of Dr. King: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
