I to also disagree with Ms. Whitfield's letter, true there are many home in this area that do have occupants and many that do not. I have live in that area for seventeen years I have seen quite a lot. I'm looking forward to the expansion of the fair ground toward the eastern section of Roosevelt. I am simply tired of my home either being shot at which it has been on several occasions and twice with my three grandchildren in the living room watching television. Luck for us none of the bullets came through the house or I would have been burying one of them. I still have the bullet hole in the house and the only thing the police were able to do was file a terroristic threat. My neighbors cars have been shot as well. Basically some of us are just tired of the gun shot, death, speeding cars, and thieving that go on. Several years ago the Housing Authority apartment complex was to be leveled to reduce the violence that this neighbor endures, It is time for a change.
