Re: “Pryor likely to join in filibuster of federal minimum wage bill

The Senator is trying extremely hard to keep his job. If a man like Cottonmouth were running against me, I'd probably be doing the same. I'll be voting for him, but nothing more.

Re: “Bill Halter withdraws from Arkansas governor's race

This is not good news for women. Ross, as a Congressman, voted against the reauthorization of VAWA, he tried to kill obamacare in committee, and he also co sponsored legislation trying to redefine "legitimate rape." I witnessed Ross tell a friend of mine that progressives are the problem in this state and he was pointing his finger at her face. Ross is a misogynist, he's a republican light, and I for one will not be supporting his campaign or the DPA anymore. I even suspect that Bill Halter was strong armed by Ross and the DPA to drop out.

Re: “The Arkansas Times introduces digital membership

If we subscribe to the print edition, would you all consider a discounted access price for the web content please? Other paper's offer that as an option like the Dem-Gaz, NWA Newspapers, and the Jonesboro Sun.

Re: “The Mike Ross' Big Haul Edition

Max, money alone doesn't win races. The 2 Million that Ross has raised from primarily corporate interests shows that Ross isn't OF THE PEOPLE! Bill Halter is very actively campaigning and talking to people personally for his campaign, and he's very serious about winning FOR THE PEOPLE!

Re: “Arkansas: Generous college help, particularly if need doesn't count

There is a systematic push to make college accessible and affordable for the affluent only. Rising interest rates on loans, rising college fees and tuition, and decreasing the amount of need based grants and scholarships being awarded is happening all across the country. Bill Halter has a really great idea to make college accessible and affordable for more AR students. It's called the Arkansas Promise. It is modeled after the EL Dorado promise, and look what's happening down there-massive growth and boom in that town due to a more well educated workforce. That's what we need statewide!

Re: “Arkansas: Generous college help, particularly if need doesn't count

There is a systematic drive here to only make college possible for the affluent. The GOP wants to keep youth ignorant so that they won't question what is being spoon fed. Bill Halter, who is running for Governor, wants to make college affordable and accessible through his Arkansas Promise idea for every student in AR that achieves a 2.5 GPA and would like to attend a state school. Let's make this happen.

Re: “Green Party official joins Republicans

I wonder if the Green party will now more carefully vet their candidates before approving their run for public office? Kade Holliday is another wolf in sheep's clothing and he will be defeated in 2014 for his bungling of the voter rolls.
