Re: “Arkansas in middle of debate about future of Medicaid and Obamacare

This sounds like if Arkansas lost all these federal $$, what with all the tax cuts, the state would be bankrupt.

Re: “Huge turnout for Tom Cotton town hall

It was an amazing experience. Tom Cotton handled the town hall very well and made Steve Womack look like an amateur. There were some really good questions asked. I was one of the first ones inside and had an excellent seat. There were three rows of seats in front of me blocked off. I inquired and was told they were for Cotton's parents. His parents were there, but they only occupied two seats.

While I didn't agree with much he said, he's good at two stepping around the issues, he did not talk down to us or yell. Womack did that and more yesterday. Cotton was professional and courteous and in control at all times. I have to give him that. Also, he showed up.

Re: “Steve Womack hearing from constituents, sounds a little grouchy

I was there. Womack did not handle it well at all. I felt like he was speaking down to us. He wasted twenty minutes at the beginning by trying to be funny (he ate a frog for breakfast, so his day couldn't possibly get any worse) and talking blah blah blah about republican agenda. Of course, he was just stalling. The crowd began to call him out on it. My takeaway from the meeting was that he and the republicans are going to do what they damn well please. So there!

Re: “The bathroom bill: How big a 'problem'?

I am 66 years old female and I have used the men's bathroom on occasion when I really, really had to go and the women's bathroom was taken. Also, once at Target I wasn't paying attention and I went in the men's room. I guess S&S would have me arrested.

These yahoos need to go home and get a real job instead of living off government subsidies.

Re: “Tom Cotton announces his public meeting

The main meeting place at Jones Center (largest) is closed for construction. That leaves the gym floor, but no seating unless chairs are carried in, or one of the classrooms which are not that large. Yes, Dimplasm, I expect the crowd will be stacked. Rotten is probably hard at work on that.

Re: “Bathroom bill filed in shell form

We already look like a backward state. We certainly do not need the negative press this ridiculous unnecessary "bathroom bill" will bring.
