Re: “Strong mayor v. cigarettes: Cigs win

Chelydra - FYI the TOBACCO INDUSTRY has NOT been able to "publish" or "finance" publications that support their products since they signed on to the Master Settlement Agreement in 1999. Moreover, the MSA forced Big Cig to disband even their "industry associations" in order to absolve themselves from "Product Liability" lawsuits - so your contention that Harley's posts are "tobacco funded" information, are completely BOGUS.

BIG PHARMA, however, can make "charitable" contributions to "Tobacco Control" - and places plenty of folks (like you?) on their payroll in order to "manage" public opinion. Hence, the stance that smokers are stupid, dirty, and deserving of SEGREGATION is a message that has been widely promulgated and FINANCED by pharma Billion$, which amounts to little more than a "back door advertising" for their NEAR WORTHLESS NICOTINE REPLACEMENT PRODUCTS!

GOOGLE RWJF.ORG and search "tobacco" within this J&J pharma site ... you will find Million$ spent to "encourage" smokers to stop smoking ... so long as they use J&J products to accomplish this! (Nicorette, Nicoderm and the suicide-challenged Chantix!) MEANWHILE these same folks bribe our LAWMAKERS (via campaign contributions) to legislate SEGREGATION and PROHIBITION (ideas that have long since failed in America, over and over again); and to villify "E-smokes" as "DANGEROUS" ... because, after all, J&J does NOT own the patent on these "nicotine substitutes" which actually offer the tactile and breath sensations that no patch or pill ever could! Many smokers are enjoying success in cutting down cigarettes by "vaping" E-cig nicotine cartridges and the folks who finance RWJF's anti-tobacco campaign, as well as FORMED "The Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids" ... just can NOT TOLERATE the COMPETITION!

So just keep on blaming "big cig" for CITIZEN PROTESTS against Segregation and the incitement of prejudice against their use of a LEGAL and inordinately TAXED product! It will only serve to disparage the rest of your "nanny state" arguments.

BTW, I don't tell YOU what foods to eat, what car to drive or what color of underwear you put on in the morning - and you should BUTT OUT of MY personal preferences too!
