Re: “Shale shock

If a person looked into this story just a little further they would find that the Yankes were paid handsomely for the loss of use of the land while the drilling site is there. That the state of Arkansas (AOGC) requires that the drill site be a specified minimum distance from the dwelling, that the drilling rig and the stimulation equipment is there for only a short time and that it will return to the quiet peaceful serenity that existed prior to the drilling activity. That the AOGC prohibits the leaching of soil into any stream, strives to eliminate soil erosion from drill sites by requiring silt fencing and soil stabilization beyond what is required of any farming operation. That the drill site folks strive to make better neighbors than what most ordinary neighbors do. That the gas company folks love nature as much or more than most and strive to keep a pristine environment that wildlife can thrive and that most donate to wildlife conservancy programs along with the companies they work for to preserve and develop wildlife of all species.
