Re: “State interpreter unqualified, report says

Max, please do not stop looking into this matter and covering it in your news!! We need people to know what is going on and that an injustice has happened. Even if people have no interest in the Deaf community, tax dollars being doubly spent should pique an interest! Law requires quality services for Deaf people, and ARS is violating that law if they send the unqualified person to do a job they are unable to do. Thank you for covering this story!

Re: “State interpreter unqualified, report says

I find it highly interesting that the response from Walker states that Ms. Taylor meets all the requirements of skill and certification when we see blatant documentation showing otherwise. I am not sure where he is getting HIS information, but it is clear that Ms. Taylor does not meet the MINIMUM requirements for the job for which she is being paid. Other than the possibly double tax dollars being spent so a qualified interpreter can take an assignment in Ms. Taylor's place, the fact that Ms. Taylor is apparently working in the community 'interpreting' for Deaf clients is frightening and very much a disservice to those clients.
Thank you, Channel 7, for looking into this matter and bringing it to the attention of the community at large.
