Re: “UPDATE: Lottery Commission approves deal with Scientific Games

Noting really complicated here. "Director" Woosley is just taking care of his good Stuttgart buddy Mitch Berry (yes, Congressman Berry's son) who is chief lobbyist for Sci-Games and has been for a while. I'm sure his job security had a lot to do with this. If the contract was "ok" why was a vote needed this week?

Re: “Engstrom won't vote on lottery director selection UPDATE

Couldn't agree more. I mean REALLY?! This a smokescreen. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that ALL 9 Commissioners talk to lottery employee/candidate Bishop Woosley daily.

At least a ccouple of them do.....

Re: “Can Martha Shoffner survive?

Did we ever get an answer from last weeks Democrat-Gazette article on just who is really is responsible for investing the states funds?

Ms. Shoffner stated that she had a person that handled all of that (Autumn Sanson). Ms Sanson referred all investment questions to Chief Deputy Debbie Rogers. Ms. Rogers claims that all investment decisions are made by Ms. Sanson and Treasurer Shoffner.

I mean REALLY?!

Re: “'Personhood': What happens in Mississippi won't stay there

Good points,

I haven't read the MS amendment so I 'm sure this is in there somewhere but I wonder...does "personhood" extend to "anchor babies"? What a bunch of nuts!

Re: “The line is open

Maybe Rep. Sanders & Sen. Hutchinson need to talk to their colleague, Representative and Senate candidiate Jane English. Is she not drawing her state retirement check from AEDC and at the same time drawing her legislative pay plus per diem, etc, etc? Isn't that "double dipping" too? As a matter of fact, if she moves to the Senate, she will be well on her way to being vested in APERS twice. Is she gonna turn down that second retirement check when the time comes?

Current Representative and UALR Professor Ann Clemmer has "potential" to be on this list also.
