Re: “Chris Peterson resigns as athletic director

Maybe UALR finally tired of spending $180k annually for an employee who contributes nothing to education, especially with the ongoing budget problems.

Re: “Digital membership FAQ

I hesitate to stomp my foot in disgust and say "I'm gone", but I'm sure leaning that way... You want us to pay one free view to read the introductory paragraph plus another free view to follow the jump? I'm beginning to dislike this new plan.

Re: “The Arkansas Times introduces digital membership

Do we need to sign up and pay for all four blogs? I really don't care what happens in Eat Arkansas, Eye Candy and Rock Candy.

And does this mean that when Max goes on vacation we'll still be stuck with second rate blogging? Fewer posts, more typographical and grammatical errors, less substance to the stories.... Max, when you're gone I quit reading and start skimming; don't really want to pay for that.

Re: “LR cop convicted of DWI in Sherwood

So his employer already found him guilty and imposed a 30 day suspension even before he had his day in court? If he had somehow been found not guilty by the court would he have been compensated for the loss of pay during the suspension?

Re: “Bottom line: Everything is Barack Obama's fault

Typical Republican distorting the facts. We (correctly) blamed Bush for the pathetic response to Katrina's damage.
