Re: “UPDATE: Bill would abolish Capitol Zoning District Commission

Smooth political move by Bell. One can squack and dislike all one wants, but fact remains he used the system to make something happen. Gotta admire his method to the madness. He is still an assclown, but just imagine if he uses out of the box thinking like that for the greater good. Who knows what could happen? Reminds me of Pelosi and crew playing three card monte and our reward was Obama care.

Re: “Ken Aden fires back on military record

I read the threads posted by radical centrist. The socnet one brings up a number of interesting and valid points. I may have to retract some of my earlier comments above. Which is really too bad. I hate being wrong, but truth should prevail, regardless of my feelings. Mistakes can be made on military records and orders. They can also be adjusted and changed just as easily by human resource personnel. At this point I would also suspect the records from the National Archives. To those in the know there are a large number of inconsistencies. Certain questions need to be asked by this who have been there and done that, or are still connected to the special ops community. They easily have the ability to verify any claims in the arena.

I don't know if this would help but Trevor Drown is currently the First Sergeant of a 20th Group, Special Forces support company. He still lives in Russellville and works at UPS. So you can easily get in touch with him. If the Aden campaign wished. I think he might be able to shed some light on this issue. Good luck.

Re: “Democratic 3rd district candidate's resume padding

There is no such thing as an 18x mos. You would never see it on a DD214. It is a designation given to those who are in the process of training or have signified their intention of trying out for the special forces. The 18B3P signifies he is a qualified 18 series weapons specialist often called a special forces weapons sergeant, of which there are two assigned to an A team. The 3 means skill level three which is achieved by virtue of rank/pay grade. In this case E-6. The P designation is a special skill identifier for a qualified parachutist. In regards to the Ft Bragg IG. That statement makes no sense. Anyone associated with the Army would know the IG does not investigate this type of thing. It would be the G-1 of the unit or command that awarded the MOS. Furthermore, JFHQ or if you will, Special Forces HQ, does not fall under FT Bragg command and the post IG has no authority over them. The rest of the statements are incorrect, I believe my point had been made.

Re: “Ken Aden fires back on military record

Good for him in fighting back. The orders look legitimate and cover all the bases of army orders. This offers more credibility then Tom Cotton's weak US Army Ranger credentials. These orders signify, this man is a fully qualified "green beret", and holds the military occupational specialty of weapons sergeant. His unit of assignment is immaterial. If he was assigned to a special forces unit tomorrow, he would be expected to fulfill the job he was trained for. If he was a recruiter or a drill sergeant, he would still be considered a "green beret" without equivication . Furthermore, these orders show he was assigned to a Special Forces unit, since the school which awards this MOS is a special forces unit. Womack comes off as petty even commenting on this.

Re: “Ex-employee: Secy. of State's office dodged FOI

At the rate he is going, I am laying odds that Martin will resign in disgrace or be indicted for something before the next election.

Re: “Legislative redistricting begins

I have noticed that the SOS website election site has been updated since Martin took over. Under publications was a series of very informative reports on the history of elections. Now it is all gone and they list the words Coming Soon! Why did they delete history?

Re: “Lincoln plays war vets' card

IronyMan, I am very comfortable with my words and analysis. In fact I toned them down. As far as sources, I would be a primary one, which in case you don't realize, would also make me a Vet. There are many others who feel the same way. Sorry to burst your bubble on your hero. But unless you served directly underneath him and interacted with on a regular basis you have no idea. And I did. I have no love for Boozman, but Ross was closer to the issue of taking care of soldiers. Boozman voted or didn't on funding. Ross was a Commander, much closer to impacting the soldier. And he failed. There is a big difference.
