Re: “Supreme Court exacts more payback from Court of Appeals

What happens if they refuse? You can't fire them.

Re: “Jury convicts trucker in record meth seizure

It's past time to legalize, regulate the dosage strength and buyers' frequency, plus TAX the hell out of all drugs!

Time make drugs just like booze. We bust moonshiners for booze but regulate and tax everyone else. Time to do the same for dope.... If you get your drugs from "an adult entertainment center" then you're legal. If you try to be self employed and import without the paperwork, then be prepared to do the time!

Re: “Semantics drives discord over Metroplan vote on 30 Crossing: CORRECTION

It's really too bad NLR and LR can't get some big donors to donate the land for a brand new freeway from McCain Mall, through NLR and LR just west of the airport to link up with I-30/I-530/I-440!

Sure a few people would have to move but thousands wouldn't endure years of highway gridlock during construction.'

Re: “Bob Ballinger and other Tea Partiers file alternative bill exempting military retirement benefits

We need some more Rockefeller Republicans would understand that cutting taxes and cutting programs, like road improvements, actually cost business growth a lot more than the "savings" of tax cuts.

Re: “About that wall: Trump revises Tweet

The question is whether Congress pushes "company" doctors for "free" care and expands it to public agencies, schools and pushes everyone with no insurance out to expanded public health clinics.

I think a lot of people would switch to a "company/agency/school district" doctor if a visit was free but you had to pay to use insurance at another office. They would go to UAMS if that the preferred/free hospital vs co-pays at Baptist or St. Vincent.

Re: “Governor plans talk on $50 million tax cut UPDATE

Here's a radical notion: Send some or all of the money from state sales taxes on tires, cars, parts, service, etc back to the cities and counties in which it was collected for new roads and road improvements. Rededicate all or part of the state sales taxes on toys, sports equipment, guns, etc back to the cities and counties where it is collected to improve parks and recreation programs. In short, put the extra money to use where it is collected. Keep the money local beyond general income taxes, corporate and business taxes , property taxes.

Re: “Today in North Little Rock: Arkansas Times Festival of Ideas — muckraking, policing, virtual reality, climate change, beer.

I sure wish some of these indoor events would move to the spring, winter and summer. We have too many things in the fall.
