Re: “Villines wants star-spangled Broadway Bridge

Have any of the commenters above actually seen the architectural design blueprints / artistic renditions of this vision? If you live in Pulaski County and have concerns, I would kindly suggest that you schedule an appointment with Judge Villines so you can see the full extent of his vision. I was cautious and skeptical myself until he unveiled the full extent of the concept to me. As a veteran, I am thankful for Judge Villines and his forward looking vision. BTW, he is "Buddy the bridge builder".... Pulaski County has replaced over 80 bridges in unincorporated Pulaski County under his leadership. For a more comprehensive look than the picture above.... http://arkansasmatters.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=612292

Re: “Woo pig kaplooie

"Obama is uniquely suited to make the argument for change. On this issue, he’ll have support from the libertarian right and the humanitarian left. The question is not the backing — it’s whether the president will have the backbone."

What he said......

Re: “Hubbard and Fuqua: We are not cranks

Good piece from Tolbert: http://talkbusiness.net/2012/10/there-is-n…

I wish Chairman Webb / the RPA would speak with the same strength that Jason does in this piece. I am quite sure the RPA is having a lot of regret for not fielding sane primary candidates to take these looney tunes out. It's not like their radical positions have not been out there in writing for years. A few years ago I thought that Jim Bob Duggar and Jim Holt were the fringe of my party.... these guys make Jim & Jim seem moderate. This kind of bullshit has got to piss off people like Bearden, Vickery, Kincannon, Chuck Banks, etc that have put so much blood and sweat into getting the state party where it is today...on the verge of taking the state legislature - only to see the reality of that possibility in 2012 hinging on nuts like Hubbard, Fuqua, and Mauch. I can tell you that as a Republican it makes my blood boil.

Re: “UPDATE: Will Republican Party repudiate cranks? Not likely. They ARE the GOP

cbb, Calm down and take a chill pill. In my original post I think I called Hubbard, Mauch and Fuqua "clowns". They are an embarassment to the Arkansas GOP. Abe Lincoln, WinRock, and even Mike Huckabee are considered liberals in their camp. Actually, they most likely consider me too liberal to be have an (R) next to my name as well. My point was simply that extremism is dangerous. And there is extremism at all ends of the political spectrum. There are also balanced, thoughtful, and rational people on both sides of the aisle. I think Congressman Griffin's condemnation of their radical ideas and philosophies could be his 'Sister Souljah Moment'.

Thank you eLwood for providing me with an education on what a great guy Saul Alinsky is. Feel free to educate me as well on the positive attributes and ideas of such great Leftist leaders as Marx, Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Et al.

As your boy Bill said at the DNC, even a broke clock is right twice a day.
