Re: “Jury awards $46.5 million in malpractice case in Camden UPDATES

Don't confuse this Draconian proposed legislation with all Republicans, just these Republicans and there needs to be a real close look at them because this proposed bill only benefits big money hospitals like Baptist, bad doctors, and nursing homes. So what is the motivation/incentive for these legislators?

Re: “'We are here, and we are here to stay': Scenes from the Women's March for Arkansas (updated)

And the headline is Madonna saying she thinks about blowing up the White House and wants to see Trump dead. So, as a woman I am all in for equality and respect for all women. But, what exactly are they protesting? Is it Trump's crass comments over 15 years ago or his pro-life position because they didn't march in support of Paula Jones, Monica Lewinski, or any of the many women claiming Clinton assaulted them. Does anyone notice how many women are in Trump's cabinet, the women executives in his companies, or the high level of confidence and responsibility he has given his daughter? The answer is no because those facts contradict the left's narrative.

Re: “Hutchinson administration resists accountability in child rape case

DCFS received nearly $74,000,000 in federal Title IV-E and B money last year for the nearly 5000 children they have in foster care. The more children in foster care the more money they get and if you follow the money you'll find a whole cottage industry has cropped around that money from for-profit foster care agencies to the quack psychologists and a whole department at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Over 80% of children taken by DCFS go to non-relative foster placement contrary to the statute that says relative placement shall be first. Mr. Brantley the scandal and corrupt practices at DCFS would fill your column indefinitely, always follow the money.

Re: “Federal investigation uncovers foster parent's abuse of at least five children

Kathie Leah Hudson This is the same DCFS that unsubstantiated over 20 calls from mandated reporters regarding two little kids because they wrongly accused the mother early on. Instead of admitting they were wrong as soon as the creep's name was mentioned with two other children that were not his, those hotline calls from mandated reporters were also unsubstantiated. It is more important that DCFS protect themselves than children. The man who was the subject of all of those reports now has custody of his victims. This agency needs to be dismantled.

Re: “Arkansas's foster care surge due to 'questionable removals' of kids, DHS consultant finds

If any journalist can get entry into the juvenile courts on DCFS days it will boggle the mind to witness open lying by case workers, denial of due process to parents fighting against unlimited resources, DHS attorneys, parent counsel, and ad litem's all on the same page, and if the poor parents' children are under the age of 8 and adoptable God help them. Along with the shocking number of children in foster care, the number of termination of parental rights is even more shocking. The bar for termination is so low it might as well not even exist. If you are a relative wanting to keep the children from becoming orphans cut off from their lineage and history too bad, over 80% of all foster placements are non-relative as are the adoptions. AND, DCFS gets a big chunk of Federal Title IV-E money for every child in foster care and if they are adopted. An entire foster care cottage industry has developed taking advantage of Title IV-E funds that was originally intended to keep families together. Demand a State and Federal investigation into this money that is coming from the Social Security fund.

Re: “Lt. Gov. Griffin calls for reorganization of Human Services

Did no one tell Griffen that the State Police' Crimes Against Children division already does the investigating of abuse claims for DHS? DCFS outright ignores the findings of the state police if the investigation doesn't support their agenda and narrative. DCFS is the problem, they are out of control and answerable to no one. We have the lowest rate of relative placement in the country because the federal government gives money to DCFS for every child in foster care, there is a whole cottage industry that evolves around the seizing of our children. This is a national scandal on a Biblical scale, the number of children in foster care and the number of parents who have had their parental rights terminated is disproportionate in Arkansas......where is that report?

Re: “Lawyer announces challenge to sitting judge, Alice Gray

I dare say she will have the unprecedented support of nearly every attorney and judge in the district. Latonya is an excellent attorney and has the necessary legal scholarship, intellect, and compassion that is sorely lacking in the Sixth and many other Districts in this state.
