Re: “The U.S. House isn't the 'people's house'

The big mistake Americans did after the 2016 election was the same mistake after 2000, in allowing Presidents who won to pretend to have been the popular vote win. Both of those elections lacked the integrity of a popular vote win, and were made possible by the cheating of gerrymandering, or allowing the hoax of the Supreme Court to choose the President for America, both manipulated and disasters for democracy. One gave us a war mongering President, and the other gave us a racist know nothing war monger.

Re: “Trump's 'Actual malice'

They are coming for your freedoms, not your guns.
That has been clear since Trump took office.

Re: “Trump's 'Actual malice'

Times v Sullivan designed to protect alienation of voters by malice of propaganda, not designed to enable propaganda to oppress voters, and establish a norm of reality as certain groups, or government views it.

It is why the malice standard was included in that decision to form the linchpin of that decision. Freedom of the press to express is not freedom of the press to oppress, as a beginning perspective. The difference is crucial to freedom. The press values truth, not lies. Protecting lies is unworthy of the agenda of protecting journalism. When used for oppression by lies, Times v Sullivan should not apply.

Re: “Friday's open line

Tweety bird Conway cartoons not quite up to the standard of governance America deserves. Trump administration should be measured by the quality of his communications (presumed engineered by Communication's Director, Conway) as her personal putty tat.
It's long past time for Trump to be held to a normal standard of government rather than by brain droppings in Twitter.
