  • Arkansas Sports 360 fans note: Jim Harris lives on new sports website

The Arkansas Business Publishing Group shut down its Arkansas Sports 360 effort recently, leaving a significant on-line audience with withdrawal symptoms for the loss of timely sports reporting and commentary. But a new website, Sporting Life Arkansas, will fill that void beginning Friday morning.

Re: “Fire with fire

@ChevyChaser We demonstrate our love for God by how we treat others. That is the entirety of the lesson in Jesus' words that you quote.

It is easy to say that we love Him, but unless it is followed with demonstrating - by our actions - our love of our neighbors (and the entire world is our neighbor) then those words are empty, or worse.

Ms. Tolbert is correct when she points out the glaring hypocrisy, fear of neighbor, division sewing, stranger-hating, anti-Christian rhetoric coming from a dominant segment of America's pulpits, that only serve as a backstop for self-serving institutions designed to preserve privilege and power.

To come in with "not all Christians" is missing the point entirely.

Re: “Tom Dillard details problems at Stacy Hurst-run Heritage Department

Mizz Hurst is an aggressively unpleasant woman.

Back during the Trinity Cathedral School days, before Saint Stephens Episcopal Collegiate forced it to shutter, there was a 'debate' about school uniforms.

Mizz Hurst snapped at me, and this is a direct quote:

"Once you've given this place as much money as I have, your opinion might mean something!"

I am very seldom stunned into silence, but that was one of them.

Re: “In backing Obamacare repeal, Arkansas governor would trade billions of dollars for more state flexibility

Technically true. They want the 'flexibility' to let people go bankrupt and die.
