Re: “In wake of Harris rehoming revelations, broader review of child welfare system begins

With all the evidence that The Arkansas Times unearthed about DHS promoting an unvalidated and highly abusive therapy/parenting method, why was Mr. Vincent not asked about this problem?

DHS has contracted 2015-2019 with Attachment Therapist Jean Crume, a person who thinks Nancy Thomas parenting can be "helpful."

Will Mr. Vincent determine if the DHS culture is influenced by Attachment Therapy? Or do child welfare workers and therapists use science-based practices and knowledge regarding child development? Doesn't the state need a psychologist or psychiatrist linvestigating DHS materials, therapies, and beliefs?

Of additional concern is the involvement of Casey Family Services. This branch of the Casey Family Foundation has long promoted Attachment Therapy/Parenting in the New England states. Holding Therapist Forrest Lien claims he was trained by Casey in Attachment Therapy. Lien became the clinical director at the infamous Attachment Center at Evergreen and was apparently there when DHS's Jean Crume trained at this center in Holding Therapy.

Lien: "Went to work for the Casey Family Program….That's where I got my training to do this work, Attachment Therapy. Took me two years of training to do this."
