Re: “The river people

My Mama and Daddy lived in a houseboat at Indian Bay for a while. My Grandmother and Great Grandmother and lots of my Great Uncles and Aunts, lived on the water at Indian Bay. When I was born they had already moved off of the houseboats, and had houses on have land. Some of the houses was built on tall stilts so if the bay flooded. I sure enjoyed reading this article. I had a chance to go shelling with my Daddy when they were buying them to cut very small squares out of the shell and place in oysters and then put them back in the ocean and then when they would harvest them they would have cultured pearls.. I have such fond memories of the bay and the people at the bay.
