Re: “Rapert called out for anti-Muslim messaging

In other words, "If someone comes after me because of the hateful things I said and shared, it's YOUR fault because you made it easier to read the hateful things I said and shared."

Re: “Trump names charter school/voucher backer as Education secretary

Holy shit, this woman's brother is the founder of Blackwater, and her father-in-law founded Amway. That's a shitload of scary-crazy right there, before you even touch her ideas for education.

Re: “UPDATE: Supreme outrage: Is there a line of attack on court invalidation of pot measure?

Even if the Supreme Court allowed a rehearing and put Issue 7 back on the ballot, this action should be grounds for a new special election. The Court has disenfranchised those who already voted. And people who had not voted before the disqualification may have changed their mind and voted for #6 as a fallback when they didn't intend to vote that way before. So their votes have been influenced by the Court.

The Supreme Court has disenfranchised voters and influenced others to vote in a way they might not have originally. A new election is the only fair solution.

Re: “Garland County ex-aide charged with tens of thousands of personal expenses on county credit card, including dog tuxedo

Arkanzin -- Rick Davis is a Republican, though as he's pointed out, he inherited Goss since she was part of the previous Democratic county judge's staff. But it should also be pointed out that her four-year spending spree coincides with when the Republicans and Tea Party swept Garland County and took over every significant office.

So while she was hired many years ago by a Democrat, her massive fraudulent spending took place while Republicans and Tea Partiers were supposed to be minding the store. Because you know how stern and disapproving those folks are about needless spending.

Re: “Let the name float begin with Blanche Lincoln

I hate that picture of her. That was the night she beat Bill Halter.

Re: “Arkansas Supreme Court kills amendments on new casinos, tort reform and approves medical marijuana amendment

LJ Rhodes, your taxes wouldn't be paying for poor people's marijuana unless you're buying some for yourself too. The tax that would pay for it is the tax on marijuana itself. In other words, when patients buy some weed, there is a tax to help provide relief to poor patients. Regular state tax dollars won't be used to buy weed for anyone.

Also, I think that stipulation is in the other marijuana proposal -- Issue 7, the initiated act -- and not the amendment (Issue 6) discussed in this article about the Supreme Court.

And btw, Issue 7 is by far the better of the two medical marijuana proposals.
