Re: “Supreme Court reduced in gas cases

What happens to this suit now that one of the attorneys is clearly not qualified to preside?

Re: “Friday night lines

Johnny Tyson must have thought it would be an easier job than it is... I mean swapping football tickets and coach worship comes first. Also is he really mad at the poor performance from D. Gearhart? Stay tuned. And why have we not heard a "peep" out of UA Systems Pres. Bobbitt on this overspending. The UA F campus looks like some of the other "little sister" campuses when it comes to deficit spending...

Re: “The open line — calling all jocks

The buzz with Hussman's letter about subscription rates going up is that the new price will be around the $20 a month mark.... Also the wrap around sections - NWA Times for Fayetteville; Springdale Morning News and Morning News of NWA for Rogers and the Bentonville Daily Record - will be only 3 days a week in the near future... So Bentonville, Fayettteville, Springdale, Rogers folks will ONLY have local news three days a week..So your Monday night city council meeting will make Wednesday's news hole. TV stations are really upset... where will they get their "news?"

Re: “The open line — calling all jocks

The pizza coupon with the paycheck is an old Steve Trolinger/Jim Walton trick back when Walton owned the Bentonville Daily Newspaper - they would give all the staff coupons and help direct us to eat there to let the advertiser know that the publication could bring them business.

Re: “An open line — wild times in Washington County

Washington County voters are sick and tired of the County Attorney trying to run the meetings. His pro bono work is not pro bono per se. And his use of AG's opinions as law are laughable...There is need for sunshine since what is left of the local shopper - i.e. Walton/Stephens/Dem-Gaz excuse for a newspaper rarely finds the REAL story - even in a meeting like the one linked. If you saw that meeting and then read the story in the newspaper you would wonder if you were at the same meeting
