Re: “Paul Ryan's budget plan was so bad that even Rep. Mike Ross was against it

Wow. I love seeing people argue that rich people shouldn't pay taxes, because therefore they wouldn't innovate or hire other people to work for them. As if Eisenhower's upper tax rate, at something around 90%, stopped us innovating, creating, manufacturing, hiring, working. This is why cuts to education since the 1980s have been so successful for the regressive amongst us. People are convinced to vote against their own self-interest, and they don't know our history, they don't understand civics or basic economics. And they feel no moral obligation to contribute to society. Congratulations conservatives. We even now have a supposedly "liberal" - or even "marxist" and "socialist" president - signing a budget that cuts $300 million from community health centers (a drop in the trillion dollar bucket) and $600 million from WIC (stands for WOMEN, INFANTS & CHILDREN) - equivalent to saving less than $2 per person in this country, again, a drop in the bucket - so that we can launch another middle east war, extend billionaire tax cuts, both of which line the pockets of the people already at the top, at the expense of the weakest links at the bottom. A lot of people thought Obama was "change" but we were misled once again. We live in a corporatocracy. The republic is dead.
