This October, celebrate the season with a trip to two of the Arkansas Delta’s most beloved fall attractions, both open through Oct. 31.
Near Piggott, you’ll find Pumpkin Hollow. Spend a beautiful autumn day enjoying all the fun including the corn mazes, hayrides, catfish feeding, pony rides, pig scrambles, farm animals, the Kids’ Barn, the Friendly Forest, kids’ barrel train rides, pond and the Country Bumpkin Playground. New for 2016, it’s the Zombie Zip Line (available only on weekends). For older kids and more adventuresome adults, visit the three “Horror in the Hollow” haunted attractions and the Zombie Paintball Patrol (Friday, Saturday, and Halloween nights only). And, of course, you can pick your own pumpkin to decorate at home. For all the details, visit www.PumpkinHollow.com or www.HorrorintheHollow.com.
In Augusta, it’s the 11th annual Peebles Farm Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze. The farm features a 16-acre “Farmers Feed the World” themed corn maze, hayrides, horse and wagon rides, and tractor driven train rides. There’s also a huge play area with slides, tire swings, a tractor tire serpent, and hay maze and tunnels. Visit the farm animals and pick some cotton. On Friday and Saturday nights, head to Peebles Farm for nighttime trips through the maze. To learn more, log on to www.PeeblesFarm.com.
