Re: “Medical marijuana backers respond to governor's 'reefer madness'

I opened the dialogue with Dr. Elders in 1992 and opened the first MMJ supply in Little Rock in 1993. I now am a Washington license holder to grow and sell cannabis. Folks that elect Tom and Asa are hard to talk to about reality. Forget the governor and work on the people who elected him. Convince them and you win. It is really about money folks. We (cannabis growers) control the next major agricultural revolution. We bring to Arkansas a multi billion dollar bonanza that can revitalize the state..

Hackett, I normally avoid such things as this, but you are an ignorant ass. It is people ;like you with no values or ethics who restrict freedom through your braying. I have done more for the cause of MMJ than you can possibly achieve, so STFU and save the air for real men to breathe. I have made no such claims as you choose to put in my mouth. You seem to be an egotistical, loudmouthed, know nothing redneck asshole. Do not confuse me with some pussy MF you may have once met at a picnic. I eat rats like you and shit the bones in a little pile. Grow up and wise up so your momma won't be so ashamed of herself.

Re: “'Values' coalition sues to strike medi-pot from ballot

Please note that the "person of faith" I suggested also meets the science criteria and all the other of your criteria for getting it done. Please note that I have been involved in pretty much all of the progress that you mention. Please note also that "people of faith" have been active in ALL of the MMJ legalization efforts and instrumental in passing them. I have worked with ministers and congregations for support successfully in many places, including Little Rock.

Some of you are distorting facts out of ignorance, some seem to be actually malicious. I did not sign the Arkansas petition simply because I am not an Arkansas resident any longer. Since I actually began a major portion of this movement in Little Rock and Fayetteville over twenty years ago, I have helped write several state laws, collected thousands of signatures and successfully challenged the laws restricting MMJ use. Please do not diss me out of your ignorance or fear. Merely google "pupuguru" and "cannabis" together... then come join me if you want to be an activist who helps ease suffering for sick people.

Ask Phillip Martin, Dotty Oliver, Dr. Elders or Mara Leveritt what I have done to build the foundation you stand on. Ask yourself what YOU can do to help this plant achieve its potential in our NATURAL world. Look inside yourself and ask "Am I doing what is right in this fight for reality?" In doing so, perhaps you will understand the individual freedom that god, any god, your god, my god, just god, for God's sake, has intended for us all.

Simply to be free in this world to do what is right and honest with the tools of nature is all that any man can expect. This is what we expect of life and we (humans) ALWAYS have created some sort of superhero to provide it. Get over it....humans have a spiritual nature and that ALWAYS leads to RELIGIONS

Re: “'Values' coalition sues to strike medi-pot from ballot

You attack me and my beliefs without knowing me or my beliefs..... foolish, since I am one of the founders responsible for MMJ in the US as you know it.
I suggest you go a bit deeper than wikipedia in your study of the basis of western law. Most ALL prohibition law is Bible based, as is most all real property law and the laws protecting person and possessions. I think all of the laws concerning sexual behavior and alcohol/intoxication are from the bible. Even our current codes on taxation take Biblical guidance.
This holds true in Muslim countries, Hindu countries and Buddhist countries. People just put their faith into law. To tell me I should not base my political actions on my spiritual beliefs is actually a sign of your emptiness. Education will fill that void. You see, there are some laws which EXEMPT people from the Controlled Substance Act are religious in nature.... think peyote.. think ayahuasca. Perhaps cannabis as well.
If you don't know the religions, you have no chance at changing these laws. You must take out the roots of ignorance which religion imbeds in laws.

The most dangerous drug criminal in the US right now seems to be Roger Christie, the leader of the THC ministry. He has been held without bail for nearly two years now. Denied bail because he is a CANNABIS MINISTER. My God is truth and reality, what do you believe in, my friends???

Doc, sure hope you are being sarcastic and not merely ignorant. I have no imaginary friends. Do you? Do you actually know much about the law and MMJ? If so, then you can understand that the Judaic Abrahamic Mosaic codes are the basis of all western law. The law rests on lots of "imaginary friends", or had you not noticed. Uhhh, that is "pupuguru" and the canine dimnutive is just not correct.....;-D

Re: “'Values' coalition sues to strike medi-pot from ballot

Hmmmm, Christ defied the established leaders of his day to heal the sick. Cannabis is definitely a gift of God. Some say the Holy Anointing Oil used by Christ in defiance of the Levite priests contained cannabis. I would love to have a discussion with these people about values. I would love to have a PUBLIC discussion with the people about Christianity, cannabis, healing and Gods will. As a founder of OUR CHURCH and a world wide medical missionary for marijuana, I will come to Arkansas for a PUBLIC debate of this topic with any and all concerned parties. It has been nearly twenty years since I helped start this party, time for an Arkansas reunion. Sam Wayne Smith, founder, OUR CHURCH.
