Re: “No decision today on injunction requested against Jason Rapert for blocking comments on social media

I wish to God everyone would just turn the other way and find other things to do than blow Jason Rapert. All this attention just fires him up and helps him raise more money to do crazy BS. If you would all just ignore him, he would dry up and blow away. Sue the state for any crazy BS he passes, but that would be the extent I would pay attention to this grandstander.

Re: “Speaking of the legislature and undue influence ... see the State Police

Is anyone really surprised? Come on!!! Grow up Peter Pan! Hell, we see the Gov. give his crony loser friends like Charlie Collins, Jeff Williams, etc., etc., jobs. We all know they didn't get these jobs because of their qualifications. It was because they were connected! Michael Lamoureux is still when he was taking 10K on the dole when he was in. Hell, it took them five years to finally get Gilbert Baker. These people are all corrupt. And Hendren gives his little song and dance about corruption. Lets hear what he says when his cousin walks. If these guys are serious about corruption, they need to pass some serious laws. They need to amend the constitution to add term limits, close all the lobbying loop holes, keep shadow lobbyists like the one who gave Jake Files 80K from getting away with it (Norsworthy?), and keep themselves from getting paid by the same folks that are lobbying them to pass bills. Think any of this will happen? We shall see. Don't hold your breath. If you do, there will be a lot of passed out liberals around the state.

Re: “Gilbert Baker indicted in Maggio bribe case UPDATED

While I agree with PA's comments above, I predict Morton will skate. He's too rich. Money is power and people who are rich, usually can buy justice. It ain't right, but that is the way it is. Maggio and Baker are just two wannabes who got caught doing the big boss's business. The Godfather never gets caught. It is always the soldiers like Maggio and Baker that go down. It will be interesting to see what the feds have on folks like Chris Stewart, Bruce Hawkins, Marvin Parks, and Rhonda Wood. I predict at least one of these four will be drug into this. We shall see.

Re: “Where is Mike Maggio? And other timely concerns in public corruption probe

Yes, Doc. Gilbert Baker was chair of the State GOP. Pretty sure he was the chair just before Doyle Webb. If Maggio is talking, I would be nervous if I were Baker and Morton. But lets not forget Justice Rhonda Wood. Everyone says she was in tight with Baker and Maggio and that she was something of a mentor to Maggio. Someone will have to refresh my memory on how she is allegedly connected to Maggio regarding his illegal activities. Maybe it has something to do. It seems it was connected to his emails and texts being erased.

Re: “Legislators can't quit the public trough

Seems like there are two tracks for Republican legislators when they leave office.

1. Get a cushy state job, or
2. Go to prison

Frankly, the first group of F#c%ers seems about as corrupt as the second. Wow, how did this state end up like this?

Re: “Saturday's open line, plus some political notes

Hope this bunch can turn the Democratic Party around. I have to admit, I have grave concerns. When the chairman can't win his own race, how do we expect him to do anything for the rest of the Dems. No good choices I guess. Is it true the Democrats changed the rules to where their officers serve for four years now, instead of two? Too long, in my opinion.

Re: “DHS recruits another former legislator to join agency for "legislative affairs" (read: lobbyist)

What a crock of S#!t! Man, this needs to be investigated. Trump doesn't have anything on our crooked ass legislature and Governor. The people of Arkansas are blindly following corrupt officials! It is simply amazing to me how misguided people in this state have become. Man, oh, Man! This guy was a one-term wonder and now his ass is living off the state dime. Robert Mueller needs to come to Arkansas and investigate our state. He would have more than he ever wanted. What a Banana Republic we have become! Mercy!
