Re: “Praise for Bill Clinton from ..... Kenneth Starr

Rumor is he is going to return to HU in Searcy next Fall semester to teach an ethics course with an eye on stepping in as next President of the whole shebang. Got a raw deal at Baylor -- no way to treat a gentleman who has been chasing the devil from sea to shinning sea for the past 25 years trying his best to keep us all safe.

Re: “What are your favorite Arkansas restaurants?

A little dumpy fish joint on the White River - by the name of "Georgetown One-Stop" - has the best river flathead catfish in central Arkansas, hands down - don't argue with me bout that cause I know of what I speak. There are some other "good" catfish joints (mostly pond fed or imported cats) but if you want excellence - the One-Stop is it... It's easy to find - go to Searcy and drive east on Hwy. 36 until it deadends at the river. The One-Stop is the only business in town...

If you've never been there, you'll probably never go (and that's okay with me) but if you do take the leap & try it, you'll kick yourself in the ass for not trying it long, long ago...! 😎

Re: “Casting out demons: why Justin Harris got rid of kids he applied pressure to adopt

I posted the following 2 days ago and to date have still not seen where anyone has addressed Justin Harris' statement made on video at the KARK TV 30 minute interview that he had filed Guardianship papers when he re-homed the girls with the Francis couple. Whether or not he filed Guardianship papers seems very important to me, and I'm just curious why no one has checked that out - all articles & comments seem to be more concerned with conveying what a creep he is and how his suits don't fit ---------- Here's my previous post ----MAX, go back & look at what Harris says about a Guardianship on the taped interview....

"If I'm not mistaken, Justin Harris mentioned in his sit down interview with KARK that when he turned the 2 girls over to Eric Francis & his wife, there was a guardianship proceeding involved in that transfer. If that is the case, then Harris did not simply "dump" the girls but was following the proper statutory procedure for placing the girls with another person. Guardianships are a court supervised statutory means of transferring responsibility for the care of a minor from one person to another...

Arkansas Times - or anyone else - have you checked to determine whether there was a guardianship proceeding involved in transferring the girls from Harris to Francis?

Creepy - yeah ... suit too large - yeah ... know it all attitude & biting off more than he could chew against better advice of others - yeah ... many folks (me included) having difference of opinion over his politics & extreme religious beliefs - yeah ....... But, notwithstanding all that, he still may have some legitimate gripes about how the Arkansas Department of Human Services handled this matter & dealt with him...

I repeat -- was there a guardianship proceeding involved in Justin Harris "re-homing" the 2 girls over to Eric Francis & wife???

MAX -- Look/listen at the 18:25 to 19:00 minute mark of the KARK across-the-table interview of Justin Harris where he refers to a guardianship involving turning the girls over Eric Francis. If there is a guardianship, then that is not the same as just "dumping" the girls on someone. A guardianship is a lawful means for transferring responsibility over a minor child from one person to another. Get off the creepy optics of Justin Harris just long enough to follow the lead - check it out..."

Re: “Harrises ended adoption process of third girl via DHS prior to eventual "rehoming" of two younger sisters

Y'all need to quit beating around the bush --- Justin Harris & his wife are simpletons --- the circuit court that approved his adoption of these 2 girls left its thinking cap at home that day, AND anyone with a brain knows that the Department of Human Services is staffed by a bunch of morons. So, there you have it... impossible for this to have turned out any other way!
