I'm a radical feminist. I'm a socialist. I was born and raised here in Arkansas and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Re: “Buffalo Grill

Went here recently with a friend and had a decent meal. Sure, this place hasn't changed much from when I was in my twenties, but hey, that's not always a bad thing. My friend ordered the chili cheese fries. If you don't specify, they'll be served with cheese dip but if you ask, they'll put both cheese dip and melted cheese on top. It was pretty tasty with the rich, creamy ranch dressing it was served with. Had tons of bacon scattered all over.

I wasn't all that hungry so I just had a bowl of chili with melted cheese added. It wasn't spicy enough for me, but nothing that a ton of Louisiana Hot Sauce couldn't remedy. It wasn't all that hot either, just sort of luke warm but waiter popped it in the microwave and it was fine.

My son loves the burgers here.

Re: “Pieday: Key Lime at Rolando's

I love Rolando's. They can be a little heavy handed on the cheese, but I'm not complaining. The patio is divine on a cool evening.

Re: “Beebe: No pardon for WM3

I don't just live and breath socialism when I'm awake, I dream about it too when I'm asleep!

But honestly, I can't say I'm all that surprised about Beebe. I am still in shock that they are finally free. One step at a time, I suppose.

Re: “Downhome and deep-fried

Mine too. I love their chicken and dressing. I don't want to eat for a whole week afterwards.

Re: “At Smokin' Buns, a new 'cue defies expectations

Went here recently with my son and it was wonderful. Will definitely be back to try more items. I had the jumbo pulled pork and it was abundant, moist and smoky. The waitress obliged a request to combine two of the three sauces available and the slaw didn't just sit there on the sandwich but really sang in harmony with the whole. My sides of potato salad (a mustard based version) and fried okra were both good. The potato salad may be the best I've had in a while out in a restaurant.

We also ordered some cheese dip and the small was plenty for our table of four. It was a yellow cheese dip very reminiscent of Mexico Chiquito's cheese dip, which was not a bad thing. Very tasty.

Re: “At Smokin' Buns, a new 'cue defies expectations

I went this past weekend and I have to say this place was fabulous! Everything we had was wonderful. My pulled pork sandwich was smoky, moist and plentiful. We also ordered a grilled chicken salad, small cheese dip (which fed a table of four) chicken tenders with fries and a Frito chili cheese pie that was topped with onions. Everything came out tasting great.

Our wait person was prompt, friendly and accommodating.

We will definitely be going back and trying other items. It wasn't too crowded when we went at 12:30 on Saturday.

Re: “Canon Grill serves sustaining food

I'm going to have to agree with 50to49 on this one. I've lived next to this place for years and I've been a few times but the food is very boring, basic and bland. I guess in a pinch it might work but there are a lot better places to spend my money. It's a shame that a better place isn't in that spot because it's a great location. Canon Grill doesn't offer much to the neighborhood in my opinion.
