Re: “Mountain Home church leader cursed for inclusiveness

Thanks for your reply to my comment.

No I'm not protecting or defending anyone. As I said, don't get me wrong: I have nothing but contempt for messages like this. Yes I realize they exist, I'm not saying it looks fake because of anything about what the message says, I'm saying it looks like the text was not written on the paper, but was written across the image.

And you don't need impossible vision. Although it is possible to refuse to see it might be altered, because of what the text says . . .

But look:

The left edge of the paper is curved in to the right in the middle, a LOT, because the paper is bent upward toward us at the top and at the bottom corner. The beginning ends of each sentence would be parallel to the left edge of the paper, and the same distance from the left edge of the paper, so would all have that same curve. But instead, the left edge of all the beginnings of all the lines make a perfectly straight line up and down, parallel to the edge of the photo.

Same with the horizontal: the lines are not curved like the top or bottom edge of the sheet, but are perfectly level and straight.

There are no wrinkles in the lines.

You too can see each of these three things I'm describing, just look at it. You don't need super-eyes.

I have only contempt for the content of this message. But still, this photo looks like the text was not written on the paper, but was typed, perfectly straight, onto the image. I know that might not be popular, but there it is. Just sayin'.

Re: “Monday's open line

Executive orders:
Obama 193
George W. Bush 291
Nixon 346
Reagan 381
Eisenhower 484

I guess Executive Orders are just like Vacation Days for a president: it's OK to have as many as you want, no complaints at all, as long as you're a white Republican.

Re: “Mountain Home church leader cursed for inclusiveness

Following up on Gil Jacobsen's keen observation: as he pointed out, the paper is curved and wrinkled, but the text is perfectly straight. To be explicit, it looks like a picture of a blank piece of curved, wrinkled paper, with perfectly straight text applied to the picture by PhotoShop or any of a thousand programs that let you write text on a photo. Where does the picture come from? This article does not say and neither does the one on JT Eberhard's column this was taken from. Who made the photo and can explain this?

Now, don't get me wrong, I agree that writing such a note is hideous; but I'm wondering about the photo itself and whether it's been altered and if so why.
