Re: “Tamales: Great food, or greatest food?

Tarasco's (a Mexican place) in Dardanelle serves authentic Mexican style tamales. Very good but a little different than Delta tamales.

Re: “Huckabee pheasant hunt in Iowa draws fire

What you hear on the video is the sound of the dog's tracking collar, not a signal to the hunter. A pheasant taking off makes a very distinct sound that every experienced hunter knows. Although I'm not a fan of him, Huckabee makes a difficult shot because of the crossing pattern and the close distance.

Re: “Crystal Bridges shows off Frank Lloyd Wright house

The house was sold by the owners because it was in a flood zone and flooded frequently, making it uninhabitable and constantly being damaged. Alice Walton should be congratulated for her efforts to preserve this piece of American history.

Re: “Mail fraud charges added against former Arkansas Treausurer Martha Shoffner

"Yeah well I'm sure a lot of brokers in the business have NEVER in a life time sold 1.8 BILLION in bonds,"

Actually, there are many bond brokers, even in Little Rock, that sell much more than that over a five year period. I personally know of four in LR that sell 1/2 of that much in a single year.

Re: “UPDATE: 'Whistleblower' at treasurer's hearing; caution for security firm

After we had the best bid and was awarded the business for a $100 million bond sale last fall someone (probably an unhappy competitor) took it upon themselves to see how much trouble they could create for us. So, after 5 months of investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission, about the same from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and 8 months from the Arkansas Securities Commission, the combined sanctions against us were (1) Update some provisions in your supervisors manual (SEC & FINRA), and (2) keep better records (Ark Securities Dept). Passing that level of scrutiny says it all. Robert Keenan - CEO. St Bernard Financial Services, Inc.
