Re: “Endorsements

As a candidate for Constable in the Big Rock Township of Pulaski County, I want to thank you for not endorsing me in the upcoming election. I am particular about who I have endorse my candidacy and I can truthfully say your publication is not welcomed in that regard. I would be extremely hard pressed to explain to my supporters why a liberal publication with the reputation of socialism espoused by the Arkansas Times would support me with my Christian/Conservative views. I do welcome endorsements from anyone or organization that believes in the Judeo/Christian beliefs that made this country the leader of the free world. My door is open to everyone of any race, sex, creed, or color that wants a hand up and not a hand out. My opponent, Mike Graves, is running on the promise that if re-elected, he will continue to do nothing in the position of Constable. I make the exact opposite promise. I may do something wrong but at least I will be doing something. I will be the hardest working non-paid Constable the voters of the Big Rock Township have ever seen. As a law enforcement candidate, I hate the sin but love the sinner. I go to the Pulaski County jail to minister to the inmates and the feeling of fear, hopelessness, and despair hangs heavy in the air like cheap perfume. I don't feel sorry for the inmates or condone what they have done (I do feel sorry for the young lady working two jobs that they broke in to her car to steal her radio). And yes, I do believe in the death penalty in certain cases. I have the desire to see these men and women come out of the jail with a different attitude/focus to turn their life around and become productive citizens. If I can make that difference in their life then I am humbled by that experience. I would hope we all (Liberal and Conservative) have that same desire for those that have lost their moral compass. Again, thank you for not endorsing me and have a "blessed" day.
