Re: “What makes Arkansas's 'religious freedom' bill different from other states?

One may do well to Google the "Missouri Compromise" and delve into the history of legalized discrimination by "the natives" (to borrow a term from "The Gangs of New York"). Absolutistic, either/or, black & white thinking prevailed on =both= sides.

Extremism spans the centuries in the service of control imperatives and economic anal retention. But there are two sides to the two =sides= of this story, and if one has lived in West LA, San Francisco and Palm Springs, one knows that from direct experience: Those who have been discriminated against will often return the favor.

(Don't we achieve more by observing to perceive to recognize to acknowledge to accept to own to appreciate to understand -- and as a result, transcend -- the common cult-ural beliefs installed in our heads by the "good shepherds" than by continuing to just knee-jerk an ill-considered re-act-ion that causes more headaches? Nah. Probably not. Okay! Back to sleep!)
