Re: “Casting out demons: why Justin Harris got rid of kids he applied pressure to adopt

Whether or not DHS needs serious help, the issue here is that they cannot by regulations and law defend themselves against this bully. Harris who has legislative power over DHS, name-dropped Blucker’s name to her subordinates when it would help him and then threatened Blucker to get what he wanted (abuse of power?). People who knew better than to place the children with him were effectively silenced (where’s a whistleblower when you need one?). In a massive display of arrogance, Harris told people familiar with the children that he and his wife could “fix” these children because they had early childhood development degrees, therapists at their preschool, and God to help them. The attorney who was supposed to stand for the children pointed out in court that something smelled fishy but the judge (perhaps another problem?) in all her wisdom glossed over the attorney’s concerns and gave the bully the children. Then when the predictions of the authorities came true, Harris and his wife with her fixation on demons and their early childhood development degrees not only inappropriately treated this little girl with RAD, but gave away these children like yesterday’s newspaper where they were passed down not once but twice to end up with a sexual predator. The only bright glimmer in this whole story is that the predator is now in prison.

Next on the scene is Harris’s friend Mark Martin, also a feeder at the public trough, proclaiming loudly that no one knows what this family went through (all of those trying to prevent the adoption probably had a pretty good idea of what was going to happen in a situation with people in way over their heads but too arrogant to admit it), and then Martin attacks the mother who writes that her bottom line in all of this is that she is appalled that parents would give away their children like pets picked up at the shelter.

Martin threw in that he had spent time on his knees with Harris. I humbly suggest that he and Harris get back on their knees and urgently ask forgiveness for hubris. Harris’s history of trying to circumvent the law to practice religion at his daycare business is just another example of his thinking that he knows best and the rules don’t apply to him, even though he is willing to receive most of his income from the government. What an embarrassment! It is passed time for him to resign. And all of those who think as he does need to accompany him into retirement. Come on, Governor. Clean house. Who needs a lying, arrogant, bully who believes in demons making laws!
