Re: “Hendrix to institute limited 'gender-neutral' housing

I don't understand how some of you "Christians" sleep at night. I haven't been to church in a while, specifically because of people like you, but I'm pretty sure God saves a seat in Hell for the HATEFUL right next to the Gays. So I guess you guys can work it out then.

Think about how much better this world would be if we spent time spreading love, rather than tearing others down out of ignorance? Have you ever had a conversation with an LGBT person long enough to realize they are genuine people just the same as you or I? And could possibly bring something new to your life that you grow and benefit from? It isnt contaigious, they aren't trying to convert you. They are just living. You don't question that you were born to love a man or woman, and they don't either.

And free handouts? PLEASE. They pay just as much for the same physical accomodations as everyone else. GNH just happens to have the option to have a roomate of the opposite sex, regardless of orientation. And it is NOT for couples, as the article explicitly says. Nor is it for homosexuals or transgendered people only. So maybe if you could get over yourselves long enough to look past the word HOMOSEXUAL and read the article, you wouldn't be so ill-informed.

Hendrix is a great school, and I am proud of the choices they are making. Honestly, for the amount we are paying to GO there we may as well be able to live comfortably. One of my very good friends is gay, and living with straight guys. There is not a lto of conflict, but there is no friendship either. Can you blame him for preferring to live with his best friend, of whom he enjoys the company, that happens to be a female?

I am a straight female... so why should I have a shot at heaven, even though I have had premarital sex, but not gays? All sins carry the same weight, from the tiniest lie, to murder. I dont believe God is going to send me to Hell for having gay friends or sharing sex with someone who isnt my husband, nor do I believe he is sending them to Hell for loving someone. And if he does, then I don't want any part of that God anyway.

How about everyone just focuses on being a genuine, decent, person, and see where that gets us? I promise it would get a lot more accomplished than being hateful to strangers. For those of you who are religious, do you hath no sins to cast stones? And for those of you who aren't, remember we all live in glass houses. Point blank, let's just put down the rocks.
