Re: “Revenue from marijuana legalization up in Colorado

Yet again, Arkansas leadership shows it's "progressive" mentality, by refusing to even consider abolishing prohibition of a benign and beneficial plant, while most of it's neighbors embrace the possibilities of enriching their states through logical and rational legislation. Maybe our leaders should stop thinking "politically" and start thinking about the people, whom they are SUPPOSED to serve! It has been PROVEN that marijuana DOES NOT fit the definition of a Class 1 scheduled drug! Yet the "SKY IS FALLING!" mentality still prevails. No wonder most of the people in the country consider Arkansas as backward and inbred, maybe it's because our policies reflect that sentiment? But hey whoever said, "fortune favors the bold," obviously did NOT live in Arkansas. How much revenue will go to our neighbors, how many farming opportunities, how many new business opportunities, and how many FAMILIES will be destroyed through "prisons for profits" policies? All because a few politicians are more concerned about their political futures than the futures of the people of Arkansas. Recalls and referendums... recall the self serving politicians and call for referendums on oppressive and profit driven laws which serve only a few at the cost of many.
