Please call your legislators and ask them to vote against Sen. Hutchinson's proposal. The State's investment of $300,000 in the Capitol Zoning District leverages a lot of private investment by homeowners and investors, both in the Governor's Mansion Area and in the State Capitol Area. It is a lot safer to invest inside the District than in other historic neighborhoods like the Central High neighborhood that don't have the same protection of historic structures.

BTW, I would be inclined to let some people install fences a little higher. We've noticed walking around the neighborhood that not every historic fence is the same height.
