Re: “Blanche's dance card goes unchecked

You go Pink Puppy! If progressives continue to vote for corporatists like Lincoln and Boozman, then we do indeed deserve what we get. There is no better way to assure that they will keep stomping on us than for us to keep voting for them. Geez! This isn't rocket science! If Johnny Blanche knows you are going to roll over no matter what happens then what do you expect? I am voting for John Gray. He is pro-labor, for Medicare for all, wants to get rid of corporate personhood and address this ridiculous trade situation. He uh actually wants to DO things that, you know, actually HELP working class folks. Max, if you buy into the BS of why you should vote for the "lesser of two evils" then just remember, it is still EVIL!!

Re: “Lincoln versus Boozman: the non-debate

Johnny Blanche cannot debate itself. It must have been terribly boring watching it try. The observers would have been better served to take the "forum" outside into the heat and have a real conversation on the issues with the candidates left out of the forum, John Gray and Trevor Drown. They both obtained over 10,000 signatures each, which had to be certified in order to appear on the ballot in November. Still most people in Arkansas do not know that there are more than two candidates running for this U.S. Senate seat. For shame AAC, for shame!!

Re: “Lincoln-Boozman 'debate' set

There are 4 candidates in this Senatorial race. FOUR!!! And ALL of them should be at any debate. Anything else would be not in keeping with the democratic process or what this country is supposed to be about, no matter what state it is. Blanche likes tax cuts for the rich so much, then fine, let's hear her defend that position to someone (John Gray) who does not agree with it! Everyone should call the number Observer supplied above and write to complain. We want fair debates with all four of the candidates on the ballot in Nov. included. JOHNNY BLANCHE is not the only one running for US Senate in Arkansas!!!

Re: “In this week's Times

Well Max, this is not 2000 and it is not the Presidency we are talking about, and if there was ever a perfect time and place to make a statement, this is it. There are 4 candidates in the race. Progressives who vote for Lincoln, after her actions and behavior in the Senate and in the Primary are truly wasting their vote and sending the message that we will stand for anything and come back for more. If you are going to give the party your vote, no matter what they do, then why should they work for it? Lincoln is more of a danger to a progressive long term agenda than Boozman could ever be. Look at her actions during HCR. She executed the public option, without a trial even though the people of this poor state would have benefited greatly from it. How can you ever trust her again? If she were to pull a rabbit out of her hat and win this race, she would be more powerful and entrenched than ever before and no Progressive would dare challenge her in the next election, maybe never. If Boozman wins, he will be a freshman senator and will most likely vote like a republican robot. He will be a horrible senator and Arkansans will be ready to vote for an alternative to him in a hurry. And the door opens for a progressive challenger again. So if Boozman wins it's bad but if Lincoln wins, worse for us. The truth is that the chances of Lincoln winning are very slim. If you go give your precious progressive vote away to Lincoln, after the BS she has pulled, and she loses, won't you feel that you truly wasted your vote and missed a chance to make a real impactful statement for change? I have never voted anything but Democratic my whole life and in this particular case, at this particular time, this choice was easy. I am voting for John Gray. His platform is progressive. He wants to end corporate personhood, supports Medicare for all and I believe truly cares about doing good for the working people of Arkansas. You really should vote your conscious this November. If everyone voted their conscious, this would be a race between John Gray and Trevor Drown. John Boozman and Blanche Lincoln or "Johnny Blanche" is really no choice at all. It is pretty pathetic when the message to the base is "Hey, vote for me because I am not as horrible as my opponent." What is even more pathetic is that you could win someones' vote with that message. I read something the other day, and I am not sure where it came from but it said "To get something that you have never had, you have to do something that you have never done." Seems appropriate to the situation. Please don't throw your precious progressive vote away on the likes of Blanche Lincoln. Not this time.

Re: “Lincoln files estate tax bill

I agree with Tinker. John Gray is the logical choice for any Democratic voter who cannot stomach voting for Lincoln.
