Do Arkansas ethics laws really allow folks to get something of value in return for a contribution? Seems like an easy way to skirt campaign finance laws. If I go to a store and give a donation of $100 to a candidate and I get $100 in goods from the store is that not the same thing as the store giving me a $100 contribution. Obviously, the store can do that, but is the contribution from the store or from the individual at that point? Seems different than a bbq fundraiser or something like that. In this case, the donor is receiving something that has a clearly defined value in return for their contribution.

Another reason to support the ballot measure.
