Re: “Louisiana governor set for Democrats' first Clinton Dinner

I am no fan of 42's but lets be clear about this -- name one other person elected to the position of President from Arkansas? HL and the rest of the people who got their panties in a wad over the change in leadership need to move on and get back to being one big happy family if there is any hope of changing the balance of power in this state.

Re: “Arkansas treats children of same-sex couples differently from other kids

As a mother who had to adopt the child whose chord I cut this fix is necessary to be considered equal under the law. The fact that Senator Collins-Smith equated the process to a probate issue shows complete misunderstanding for the letter of the law. I wish I had been there to testify with my daughter. This issue needs a quick fix and is a "good little bill" that is completely controversial. But when you have a room full of people who don't understand the law creating the law, this is what you get...oh and lets pass a whole bunch of unconstitutional bills while we are at it...

Re: “Rapert passes measures aimed at banning same-sex marriage and abortion on second votes

The good news is this measure has no real
standing in law. The Gov doesn't sign it and for nownnothing changes. If Sen. Rapert were truly pro-life he would understand that suicides by teens who identify as LGBTQ have dropped since marriage equality became legal. (Forbes had an article recently with the deets)

Re: “French Hill speculation game continues

On the Dem side I am hearing an uptick in energy. One name mentioned is ED of the Audubon Society Brett Kinkaid. Long time political deep thinker. Has a unique understanding of the impact of regulations and why we need them.

Re: “Pulaski County Quorum Court passes protections for LGBT employees, requires contractors to do the same

I still am not convinced that the ordinances passed that protect employees of the county, city or municipality is thumbing your nose at Act 137. The bill said specifically that this was allowed. The only question is the vendor issue. My other thought though is if this is good for employees of the political jurisdiction why isn't it good for everyone else. Doesn't seem fair to say that only certain employees deserve protections.
