Re: “Exxon hates this TV ad

Say a mechanic earns $45,000/yr. A bad repair leads to a customer's car hitting an oil tanker and all the oil spills. The mechanic is taken to court & fined $1.35. That's the ratio of #Exxon $64 Billion in profits to the $1.7 million fine they were “slapped with”. Can you imagine being able to get your fellow citizens to pay for your own private policing of airspace over property that wasn’t even yours?! Exxon is using the FAA to keep the press away from the Mayflower spill and using local law enforcement to arrest anyone who tries to document the spill. Freedom of the press is dying quickly in the U.S. The actions of these multi-nationals, especially Transcanada are nothing less than obscene. It is well known by you I'm sure that this would be nothing less than utter devastation for our climate and especially for those living near the spills that will surely take place. We should invest in clean energy like wind, solar, geothermal, use of microbes to generate fuel, use of methane at sewage treatment plants to generate electricity...there is so much technology now we can easily replace dirty oil and coal. How is it that those with the power want to destroy their own home...their children's home? This planet is their home as well as ours. If this goes forward, I will have no choice but to believe our government has been drowned in Grover Norquist’s bathtub and replaced w/ a multi-national board of directors who manage our country as a front for their corruption. Sad, sad day.
