Re: “Rally for the bishop? UPDATES

Tap, please accept my apology, the quote was from government_cheese.

Re: “Rally for the bishop? UPDATES

I am a Christian, and I certainly think for myself. The problem with this faction group is not so much not thinking for themselves as it is a refusal to know and follow Scripture.

Maybe this behavior is the biggest indictment of their former Pastor's lack of teaching the fullness and truth of the Bible; or maybe they don't really believe the Bible; if they do not, then what are they following?

I don't know a person's heart but I can know their action. When we truly believe we will behave accordingly; if we do not believe, rarely will we act. So the question to all who want to challenge this man's removal from the pulpit is DO YOU WORSHIP GOD OR DO YOU WORSHIP MAN?
If you put a man above the Word of God then the man becomes your god. Then the question becomes ON WHAT CROSS DID HE DIE FOR YOUR SINS?

Do not substitute the wisdom(not)of the world for the Wisdom(true) wisdom of God! This pastor for once should think of someone othere than himself! Do the right thing and move on!

If there are photos as it has been reported in some circles, think of the husband of the woman that your admitted to laying with. Do not allow this foolishness to continue to drag on in the public eye. The longer it continues the more harm is done. Do not go the way of Saul.
You may be able to fool some people but you cannot fool God and sin will
be judged.

Job 4:8 As I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

The Word!

Re: “Rally for the bishop? UPDATES

Quote from Tap "Tap, if there one thing I can stand it is people who are too dumb to think for themselves". That is an all inclusive statement that is patently UNTRUE. I am a Christian and I certainly think for myself. The problem with this faction group is not so much not thinking for themselves as it is a refusal to know and follow Scripture. Maybe this behavior is the biggest indictment of their former Pastor's lack of teaching the full truth of the Bible; or maybe they don't really believe the Bible; if they do not, then are they really Christian? As for him having the decency to step down ... I understand that only happened after it was made know that there were "less than flattering" photos, If that is true, then there was no honor in making the announcement, he was simply affirming what many already knew and it was about to be made public. If true repentance did not percipitate the admission then where is the integrity? Those who are promoting this rally need to get the facts. I would imagine that leadership of the church is trying to keep this from getting really ugly, afterall, there is another family involved in this mess ... it has been reported that the woman has a husband. For once Pastor Arnold think of someone other than yourself! Do the right thing, let it go!

Re: “Chamber of Commerce at work

Hasn't there been a lawsuit filed regarding either Ammendment 1 or 2 about the misleading ballot title? The one that has to do with interest rates will effectively do away with the Arkansas Usury Law. In this day and age consumers need all of the protections we can have against gouging on loans. The Usury Law sets the maximun amount of interest at 17%, that is high enough, but without the law rates could go even higher than that! How many people know this ammendment will effect the cap of interest rates that can be charded? Wake up people.

Re: “Rally for the bishop? UPDATES”
This is truly a sad state of affairs! If this Pastor cares anything about his family, especially if he has children, and his former congregation he would remove himeself from the situation. He has admitted adultry what else needs to help? Someone please go to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and read what the Word of God says about what an overseer of HIS church is to be. Check the man against the Word and see if it lines up. Learn how to follow the Bible instead of allowing your emotions to dictate your actions.

It is shameful to allow this kind of discord to grow and fester when you have admitted adultry. Someone please go to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and read what the Word of God says about what an overseer of HIS church is to be. Check the man against the Word and see if it lines up. Learn how to follow the Bible instead of allowing your emotions to dictate your actions.
