Family Council president Jerry Cox opposes the ballot measure to legalize medical marijuana. "It's a family values issue," he said. So, let's talk medicine, marijuana — and, especially, family values.

Re: “Bangin' in LR

No law exists in Arkansas that bans concealed carry without a permit.

Re: “10 Commandments monument at Arkansas Capitol destroyed; suspect in custody for apparent repeat offense

What's next? Are they going to attempt an assassination on Senator Rapert?

Re: “Dreaming of university independence on guns

Could the U of A legalize marijuana if it wanted to? Could the colleges suspend 1st Amendment rights, if they wanted to? Could they legalize prostitution, if they want? Legalize pedophilia?
Are there any state laws that they have to adhere to?

Re: “House Bill would require training, permit for open carry of handguns

If a black man was thrown in jail for simply carrying a gun in open in Arkansas, I would be working my butt off to make sure that man owned the police department in court. That's my goal, to make sure every citizen can exercise their 2nd Amendment rights in Arkansas without harassment by the law enforcement community.

Re: “Another Hillary e-mail story; looks like Weinergate

DBI, you said:
"My question is why is there a Weiner investigation? What law did Anthony Weiner break acting like a horny 14 year old boy? Is there an ongoing Vitter or Denny Hastert investigation?"

Even if he is 'acting' like a horny 14 year old boy, he is still an adult and is forbidden by federal law from sexting with a minor child. We call that pedophilia in Arkansas (not sure what is allowed in New York or in Huma's home).

Re: “Former Bald Knob chief pleads in gun case UPDATE

Oliphart, here's a quote from you in September 2015 about this same cop and the same innocent gun owners:
"The asshats win one over a man who put his family first. Can't blame the police chief. We have far too many idiots who want toi walk around and show off that they are 5-year olds playing "show and tell". A real man wouldn't need to act like a fool and walk around with a gun. The idiot is just waiting to find a bigger idiot to blow his ass away. Hopefully the other person "will stand his ground" and make it a legal murder."

You are more bigoted and wrong-headed than Trump. If it was up to you, all innocent, law-abiding gun owners in Bald Knob would be jailed (or hung), and you would still be worshipping at the feet of the outlaw cop.

Re: “Former Bald Knob chief pleads in gun case UPDATE

This "police chief" violated Richard Chambless's civil rights when he made an illegal arrest for carrying a firearm in self defense. Later, this "cop" vandalized his truck, then set it on fire it to make it look as if Chambless or one of his friends had torched it. This is absolutely an organized effort by the Bald Knob police department to destroy Richard Chambless's civil rights and is an obvious federal violation of Title 42, U.S.C., Section 14141, using the color of law.
The U.S. Justice department should file charges immediately.
