All the principal is truly worried about is his own prejudice, That's not hard to figure out. He just needs to let the boy be so he can live his own life. A few years ago I went to a school that was completely over run with prejudice rednecks who constantly bashed and bullied people who they thought would be gay. One person there came out and the entire school changed; more and more people came out and the school supported them all. Things are changing and if anything was going to happen to him it would have by now. To quote Ellen Degeneres "can't we just love everybody and judge them by the car they drive"?
