Re: “Pat O'Brien goes out with a bang

Pat O’ Brien is just trying to make a statement after being the first Democrat in 140 years to lose the Secretary of State race. His arrogance cost him the SOS race and it’s going to get him jammed up with the judges too. I don’t know who is more a laughing stock of their party, that pathetic Mark Wilcox asking for a job in the Land Commissioners office or O’ Brien. It appears Pat O’ Brien and Mark Wilcox are trying to see whose political career end’s the fastest. I think they are in a dead-heat right now.

Re: “Living off the fat of the legislature

Tommyherr28, First of all, I was not questioning the legality of Mr. O’ Brien’s actions or even his ethics. I was questioning his blatant refusal to protect the people of Arkansas by keeping very personal information off the internet. Legal or Not! Mr. O’ Brien did refuse to take the information down, it was not until the Arkansas AG proposed legal action did he do so. Second,my post was not ill-advised as you stated. My post was based on information from various reliable “Professional” sources and publications just like this one. If you think what Mr. O’Brien did was fine, I suggested that you’re next post be Name, Date of Birth, Social Security number, Phone number and so forth.
As for Mr. Martin, you can’t fault a person for submitting legitimate travel claims and getting mileage reimbursements. If you are going to do that, then you have to fault the policy not the person submitting claims. By the way, the policy is made up by Republicans and Democrats. Not Mr. Martin.
I am an Independent and I had high hopes for Mr. O’ Brien. I have met him and he told me some great things and I was going to vote for him but I have found several things that trouble me greatly that he has said or done. He stated that he has run over 37 types of elections. That is a lie…The county clerk only hands out absentee ballots and takes them back in. The county clerk doesn’t even count them. The election commission runs elections not clerks. I am impressed with Mr. O’ Brien’s ability to run several businesses at one time but these “Deceptions” he has said or done have me looking else ware

Re: “Living off the fat of the legislature

Here’s some food for thought. Pat O’Brien is Pulaski’s county clerk. Mr. O’Brien has posted “tens of thousands of circuit court records containing Social Security numbers and other personal data … [including] … bank account numbers, birth dates and check images.”ON THE INTERNET!!!

Until July of 2008, Mr. O’Brien also posted the real estate records of county residents, which contained similarly detailed personal information. O’Brien was finally ordered by the state’s attorney general to remove those records, but even with that, Mr. O’Brien has declined to remove the personal information from circuit court records. After an extended squabble with the state’s attorney general, Mr. O’ Brien reluctantly removed them.
Is this a guy you want handling your voting records and the redistricting of our state? You be the judge.

Mark Martin collecting per-diem on ligament claims is nothing compared to this…
