Re: “The ballad of Fred and Yoko

As a teenager, I bought and traded a lot of records (& 8-track tapes - remember those?) at the Prism from 78-84-ish, and I talked to him at great length about his connections with John & Yoko and the punk scene. He was not a particularly nice person or comfortable person around which to be. Major Pain's account (above) is not far off. Perhaps there were reasons, but most of us could care less, because he had the Stones, Floyd, Zeppelin and Beatles' bootlegs that nowhere else did. I, too, still have some vinyl and 8-tracks I traded for or bought there back then, and while being in the store was like being in a David Lynch movie, it was a cool place with cool stuff. Hello, Prazak from your Stones' collecting former Sheldon Road neighbor!
