Re: “An odd meal at the Faded Rose

I don't even know where to start with this article, except to remind the author that there is a reason The Faded Rose has been in business for over 30 years.

The writer says the 9th Ward steak suffered from "bits of gristle?" Anyone who has the audacity to write that should at least do his homework. TFR uses the same high quality beef used by other restaurants mentioned in this article. I know because I asked the owner about it when it first went on the menu. It's my favorite thing they serve.

Low-quality pickles? Seriously? I'm surprised he didn't slam the salt and pepper.

But the most laughable part of this "review" weren't the bonehead remarks about the pickles or the beef... It was about suggesting TFR utilize the two-fry method like Big Orange. That would be a great idea, except The Faded Rose has been doing it that way since it opened. Again, I asked. It's amazing what you can learn when you ask a few simple questions.
