Re: “No solution in sight for public school employee insurance crisis

I am proud to be a citizen of the great state of Arkansas. I am proud to be an educator of younger Arkansans. I am passionate about pushing students to become better readers and writers and most of all thinkers. I have worked with so many dedicated educators who try their best to meet the needs of the students we serve. I have worked with coaches, aides, bus drivers, cafeteria personnel, nurses, librarians, counselors, retirees who volunteer or substitute teach , support staff, directors of choir and band, and administrators dedicated to protect and help children of this great state learn and thrive.
I pray someone working to find solutions to a broken system that should protect us but instead is a " can that has been kicked down the road for 25 years" a " 3-legged stool "that requires we beg support from our communities in the form of more taxes REALLY is working to protect US.
Public School Employees deserve better than those that have been entrusted to administer and maintain our health and life insurance have given. We deserve more than a handful of legislators that really seem to care. We deserve solutions, real solutions.
I HOPE someone who claims to care about us really does. I hope someone blessed with the power that comes with being an elected official is as passionate about working to protect US as we are about doing our jobs.
Surely the think tank of this state can come up with something.
We should not be a casualty in the Obamacare war.
The gubernatorial candidates HOPE this issue is resolved before they come into office. They are willing to listen and proclaim they have a heart for and care about teachers and all of those who serve our children in public schools.
Not a single public school employee in this state is any good at their job by simply caring about students. We are good at our jobs due to what we DO to teach and serve them. Caring matters, but it doesn't get the job done!
We need MORE than a heart for us Mr. Ross and Mr. Hutchinson. We need someone willing to DO something to protect and serve US!
