Re: “Only the guilty want closure in West Memphis Three case

I have followed this case since I first heard of it. As it unfolded and you go back and watch the first HBO documentary, watch a certain person's reaction to when his wife was told that her son was dead and when Jessie's sentence was announced how hard he swallows as if he believes he's in the clear. Why would anyone let child murderes out of prison "to save money for the state"? What happened to all 6 boys was absolutely horrific. That so called evidence and crime scene handling would never get a conviction in this DNA, CSI age. If nothing else there was always reasonable doubt. Damien had been profiled as a devil worshipper long before the crime as was revealed by the so-called expert. The police questioned Jessie based on that fact alone and decided to make it fit. The trial should have been moved far away from West Memphis to begin with and the jury foreman should be in jail himself. Although it was a horrible injustice, I do believe that Damien has grown so much over the ordeal and it may have kept him FROM going down the wrong path. I may be wrong but I'm so glad that this was resolved before his execution date. How many murderers would have been involved in that mistake? (I am pro death penalty when there's no reasonable doubt)I'm just sorry that the State was smart enough to tie their hands so that the WM3 can't sue them for millions for stealing their youth. And as far as justice goes... Eventually everyone gets theirs.
