Re: “Justin Harris used foster daughter in campaign materials, against DHS rules

Re: Pancreatic cancer, my mom died from that as well. When Justin first posted that his wife had been diagnosed, I started following that story. After some months and repeated tests, he posted that they discovered she did not have cancer afterall. I don't recall the exact timeline. I assume when they still thought it was cancer, that factored into their decision regarding their children.

Re: “Legislature's pay supplement likely to see changes

They'll have a hard time convincing me they need a pay raise, but to each his own on that. Max, I currently have invoices and contracts for House members through the end of August. I am seeing some changes, but very little. Some have quit taking the money entirely, and that's a good thing but sure speaks to it being legitimate expense money when one needs $2350/month and another needs $0/month. One legislator, Charlie Collins, is providing receipts and cancelled checks and has dissolved the relationship with his wife's LLC. Most are continuing to do what they had done in the past and one new legislator, Leslee Post, saw fit to file in July for January-July. Can't wait to see how this all shakes out. We are currently working to get thousands of invoices posted to our website and hope to make some real progress in that endeavor this week. http://ExpenseReimbursementIssue.com

Re: “Public Law Center files suit over legislative expenses

As to income, you have to take into account how many days they are in session in each of those other states. When you crunch the numbers on that, you find ours are well paid; whereas, the citizens of Arkansas are 47th in the nation in income.

Re: “Public Law Center files suit over legislative expenses

Thanks, Max, for being a voice on this issue. After working on it for months, myself, I am so glad to see this today! We set up a website, which I'm sure you've seen, Max, detailing out the legal stuff and also with copies of legislators' invoices, if anyone wants to take a gander at what their specific legislators are doing. http://expensereimbursementissue.com
