Re: “The Super Sunday line

I'm somewhat new to this blog, so no disrespect intended, but what's the story on Norma Bates? Is this a real person? If so, she (I assume it's a she) is a very interesting person. If she really is in the land of fruits and nuts, what's got her so stirred up about Arkansas? Just askin'...

Re: “The evening line

Could someone please tell me why Entergy has it in for Echo Valley? EVERY time a twig falls we lose electricity. In the event of a major storm such as now, they have a sterling record ensuring we are absolutely the LAST to have power restored. We don't mind waiting our turn, but dammit, after 15 years we're getting a bit pissed. I took the hint after 2000 and had a generator profesionally installed with transfer switches and the whole nine yards. But after over 100 hours of almost continuous operation in this boondoggle alone, Im wondering how much longer it can perform, tough as it may be. Lights are on all around us and have been for some time, but as always our Entergy friends want to make certain power is restored here absolutely last. I have the highest regard and admiration for the brave souls who are going in harm's way to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible. However I do not understand the "Gilligan's Island" attitude from Entergy management when it comes to this area. When debachles happen in the military, usually the people in command get the short haircut first. Not by your chinny-chin-chin here. I'm sure the idiot CEO and his cronies will get a fat bonus for the great job they did while the ones of us all over the service area who didn't get service back in a reasonable time will be charged extra so he can get another big bonus and the poor stockholders don't surrer too badly. How the greedy bastards sleep at night i'll never know. Oh. And how about the unfortunate folks in Parris Towers and other such housing where Entergy did ABSOLUTELY nothing? But bigod, they got power back up right away in Helena and Marion. Guess they have more high rise housing for poor and elderly down in those parts. Kudos to the Entergy crews, as you're doing your best. A POX on you "analysists" and executives! Don't even get me started on the "Act of God" bullshit. You should have been better prepared!
