Re: “Waltons could buy a third of U.S. population

As a fiscal conservative along the lines of an Eisenhower and Goldwater, I find this fact most disturbing. The two major things that Jefferson stated that would definitely erode the structure of this nation was inherited money and special interest lobbyists. He was absolutely prophetic on both points, and they seem to have combined into one destructive entity.

There was a day when your wealth was not measured in what you accumulated, but by what you circulated. If you know the Walton family at all, they circualte nothing. Good ole' Sam knew the value of circulation, but please do not tell me how hard these siblings have worked. The 30% we speak of would not be in this present position if the family had the conscience of investing in the country that provided its inherited wealth. They would rather send all the jobs overseas and purchase 80% Chinese goods to further the trade deficit an support the Chinese government for a few extra percentage points in profit past their already obscene wealth, without once thinking to support the workers here, while they sing "God Bless America". They are not the only culprits here.

My fellow conservatives may wish to wake up on some of these matters and stop taking in hand our Republican Party's rhetoric on this subject. This is not a liberal/conservative, Dem/Rep issue. This is real evil folks that has penetrated our social structure and is held in place by the special interest lobbyists paid for by the high priced attorneys in corporate employ. I simply ask you to look at it from a distance. If you do, it will hopefully frighten you as much as it has many of my colleagues. This is a train wreck ready to happen.
