Re: “Russellville cops settle death case

While we are hopeful that the DOJ will bring charges against those responsible for Dad's death, it is important to note that prosecuting attorney David Gibbons intervened to keep the Arkansas State Police Department from investigating this case. This man should be charged by the DOJ with obstruction at minimum. It is also a fact that Chief of Police James Bacon made false statements to the press to cover for his officers. What is also a travesty is that officer Bobby Stevens was denied entry into the RPD at least four times until getting an inside recommendation. This man should never have been nor should be currently on the streets. There is such overwhelming evidence of cover up that the public may never know but justice will be served even if it is in the life to come.
