Re: “Law officer one of two wounded in Searcy County bakery confrontation

Ha gjdodger....Every town has people moving in from God knows where...usually there are no problems unless they cause them themselves. Marshall and Leslie is a wonderful place to raise a family. A place where you can leave the doors unlocked at night or at the stop light. I'd never dream of raising my children anywhere else but here. My family owns a business in Leslie and has for years. I live in Marshall but for myself I have so many ties to Leslie have worked there some of my dearest friends live there. To me there is no stopping point between both towns cause we are one huge family. Grrrr your comment really upsets me to know end. You have no clue what a loving community we have. I travel to Little Rock often for Dr's visits and you would not believe the people who ask where I'm from and I tell them and have nothing but wonderful comments for our home in the hills. I lived in Benton for about 8 years as a kid. I have had my share of the big town living ...This is my home. Where my heart is so please do not say things about a place that means so much to so many. Our own peace of Heaven...your just jealous you don't have that type of a community.

Folks in Leslie are not scary....they are no different from anyone else in anyone else's town. Small community that is loved by everyone...everyone knows everyone. You will never meet any more nice of people than you will in Leslie or marshall. Please do not run down people of Searcy co. It don't feel so well considering what all everyone has been through today. Things like this just don't happen often in Searcy Co first off. And we all will stand by each other in all times of need. You need help or prayer or anything people here step up and will give the shirts off their back. Will people do that where you are from? Good people live here and want to keep it a safe community. Our schools are not unsafe...There is not a metal detector at any doors. We have a loving place and beautiful. I bet you was pretty scary to the folks in Leslie.
